Cancer R&D 2024 has wrapped up successfully. We’re grateful for your interest and interaction with Alfa Cytology. We’re eager to continue providing our expertise in cancer drug development. Let’s look back on these memorable moments!
Learn MoreA cancer vaccine is a medication that stimulates the body's immune response by increasing T-cell responses or antibody production, so successfully preventing or inhibiting the development of cancer. Nucleic acid-based cancer vaccines exert their effects by delivering gene instructions encoding tumor antigens to host cells. Alfa Cytology will be able to provide you with specialized Nucleic Acid-based Cancer Vaccine Development Services.
Nucleic acid vaccines can be divided into DNA vaccines and RNA vaccines. Nucleic acid vaccines, also referred to as gene vaccines, are a novel vaccine technology. They function by transporting gene sequences for specific pathogen proteins in plasmid vectors and injecting them into the human body. Once inside the body's cells, these genes are transcribed and translated by the cells using their mechanisms to produce antigenic proteins of the pathogen. These antigenic proteins stimulate the immune system to produce an immune response against the pathogen, achieving the goal of preventing or treating the disease. Nucleic acid vaccines are considered a promising vaccine technology due to their simple preparation and rapid design and production capabilities.

DNA cancer vaccines are considered more stable than RNA vaccines because RNA, structurally different from DNA, suffers from widespread RNA enzyme distribution. On the other hand, DNA cancer vaccines must first reach the cell nucleus to be effective. mRNA, a type of RNA, can directly translate and express antigens within the cell cytoplasm. Alfa Cytology is dedicated to delivering two tailored nucleic acid cancer vaccines with confidence.
The RNA cancer vaccine comprises RNA sequences administered via injection to initiate an immune response, enabling the body to combat cancer cells effectively.
The DNA cancer vaccine uses specific DNA sequences containing antigens unique to cancer cells to stimulate the immune system and target cancer cells.
With the advancement of basic research and the non-accumulation of research data, nucleic acid vaccines have been in an important research position as a newcomer to cancer vaccines.
